I want something more than an apology to say when i look the world in the eye.
I’ll tell you, man, my friend William came to me with a message of hope.
It went: “Fuck you and everything that you think you know. If you don’t step outside the things that you believe, they’re gonna kill you.” he said: “No one’s gonna stop you from dying young, and miserable, and right, but if you want something better, you gotta put that shit aside.”

I thought about how for thousands of years there have been people who told us that things can’t go on like this: from Jesus Christ to the Diggers, from Malthus to Zerzan, from Karl Marx to Huey Newton, but the shit goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.

It does often seem that way. I just think to myself that without those opposing injustice where would we be? How worse can things get? Should we really let things go to total shit in order to wake up more people perhaps?

Maybe they let a certain level of dissent get through to keep some people happy but ultimately they bank on apathy. John Lennon once said something like "flower power didn`t work so let`s try something else" That is probably not 100% accurate as a quote but it is pretty much what he said. he also said "apathy isn`t it". I agree with that. Of course they killed him so that is discouraging but also encouraging. He must have been a threat to them.

Apathy is probably the most terrifying thing I can think of. And it seems like it's just getting more and more widespread and common these days.
